What fascinates me immensely about Systema is that it is about exploring very fundamental principles rather than simply drilling set techniques. This allows to come forth what we already are at a deep level, and we stand less in our own way.At present, my interest in Systema – and in life – lies in exploring the polarities of ‘heaviness and lightness’, ‘density and permeability’, and ‘connection and autonomy’.I work as a psychotherapist in my own practice in Bern.Jeanine Ebnöther TrottCircus artist, fusion dancer and teacher of the F.M. Alexander Technique. Student of Bruno Caverna (formless-arts practices: GFP, play-fight, liquid body) and Gabriel Horsch (Systema).Agile, cheerful and full of energy. In my teaching, I place great emphasis on sharing fundamental principles such as relaxation, structure and economical movement.
In this class we (re-)learn and practice to move in organic ways. With directions from the Alexander Technique (AT) and exercises that focus on the bio-mechanical functioning we will access more freedom in the joints and cultivate an all over elasticity.Learning to fight less against gravity (GFP*), and rather allow it to be our ally, can help release unnecessary tensions.Through concise solo explorations and playful partner work we open new ways to connect ourselves profoundly. *GFP stands for Gravitational Field Principle. For me, the F.M. Alexander Technique (AT) is a great tool for all kinds of activities. The principles are simple and can be applied to any activity, whether it's washing the dishes, sitting in front of the computer, having an annoying discussion or when your thoughts start to race. The basis is the unity of our self; the coordinated (and thus smooth) functioning and interaction of “body”, “mind” and “emotion”. AT trains and refines our self-awareness, increases responsiveness and spontaneity, and improves breathing.I am more alert, balanced and grounded, make fewer mistakes in rehearsals and on stage, and recover much more quickly.Once someone has learned the basic principles of AT, they can continue working independently with the help of their attention.I am a certified teacher of the F.M. Alexander Technique SBAT since 2013 (Robin Möckli Webster and Erwin Möckli). The principles of AT form the core of my personal work as well as my activities as a workshop leader.Private class: 110.- / 55min(Kulturlegi: 80.-)on Wednesdays in Zurich Brunau, or home visit by appointment
In my Fusion dancing classes I draw from all my movement sources: different partner dance styles (Contact Improvisation, Bal Folk, Blues) as well as from my circus background and education in the Alexander Technique, Wutao®, Systema and GFP®.Two decades of violin practice have given me a good basic understanding of music and musicality. My main teachers are Flouer Evelyn (USA/ IT) and Mark Carpenter (Fusion Dance Academy, USA).
